Once we have received a referral, we will review and determine if we are the best people to provide a service.

We will then contact the family directly to organize an appointment. Please ensure that contact details for the family are accurate on the referral.

Due to the nature of our limited availability, we are unable to manage acute referrals and patients with psychotic disorders or eating disorders. If we are unable to provide a service, we will contact the referrer and let them know.

We do not provide emergency psychiatric services at our clinic. In case of an emergency, please take your child to the nearest Emergency Department or call 000. MHERL is available on 1300555788 and the CAMHS Urgent response line is available on 1800048636.

FEES AND PAYMENT

  • Child Psychiatrists Perth does not bulk bill. Our fees are available upon request. Please contact reception on 08 94564444.
  • To attract a Medicare rebate, all patients must be referred by their General Practitioner (referral valid for 12 months) or Specialist (referral valid for 3 months). Up to date referrals are the responsibility of patients. Without a valid referral, it may not be possible to claim a Medicare rebate.
  • All fees are payable on the day of the appointment by cash or EFTPOS (Credit or Debit card).
  • In case of non-attendance, an invoice will be sent to the registered home address. A subsequent appointment will only be available on payment of a $100 booking fee.
